Logitech Harmony Hub Now Works With Google Assistant

Harmony Hub is a smart home device from Logitech. The company announced the other day that the Harmony Hub will now work with Google Assistant, along with Amazon’s Alexa.

If you haven’t heard about Harmony Hub, here is the official lit:

Harmony Hub turns your smartphone or tablet into a universal remote, giving you control over your home entertainment and smart home devices. You can change channels and volume, program favorites, control lights and other smart devices, and build multi-device experiences called Activities. Plus you can do it all even when you’re away from home.

With this new integration, you can say things like “Okay Google ask Harmony Hub to turn on the TV”. Here is Logitech explaining these new features:

When Logitech Harmony and the Google Assistant on Google Home work together, you bring the power of voice to your home entertainment center. “Ok Google, ask Harmony to turn on sports” can power on your TV, set your stereo to surround sound, lower your window shades and even set your table lamps to your team colors.

Connect any Logitech Harmony hub-based product* with the Google Assistant and you can start or stop Harmony Activities such as Watch TV, Play a Game or Listen to Music. And if you have a Roku, you can say “Ok Google, ask Harmony to turn on Hulu” (or HBO GO) and Harmony will automatically switch over to that content.

If you are a Harmony Hub user, say hello in the comments section!
