iPhone Users In India Will Get Google Assistant By June 2017

Google announced Assistant for iOS devices during Google I/O 2017 keynote. Indian users however did not get to try Assistant on their iPhones right away. However, this report from The Indian Express states that Assistant will be available by June 2017.

If you are a Google fan from India, looking for the Assistant app in iTunes, your search will return empty. The app is not available in the Indian edition of iTunes Store. You will not be able to install Assistant even if you visit the Assistant app directly on the iTunes website here. You will the following message:

“The item you’ve requested is not currently available in the Indian Store, but is available in the U.S Store. Tap Change Store to view this item”.

For now, all you can do is wait. However, if this report is to be believed, you will have to wait only for couple more weeks. Until then, watch some videos and read some articles to get yourself more familiar with Google Assistant’s features.
