[Ask The Assistant] “Remember Where I Parked” & “Where’s My Car”

Google Maps can remember where you parked your vehicle. It takes a couple of taps an touches. You will need to open Google Maps and save where you parked, manually. According to Google Maps Help Center, here is how you do it:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app.
  2. Tap the blue dot that shows your location.
  3. Tap Save your parking.

With Google Assistant, however, you can do this with a simple voice command. Simply say “OK Google, Remember Where I parked“.

In the same way, when it is time for you to find where you had parked your car, here is how you manually do it from the Google Maps app:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app.
  2. Tap the search bar  Parking location.
  3. On the bottom right, tap Directions.

Google Maps will launch navigation to take you to where you have parked. And of course, you can use the Google Assistant command instead! Simply say: “Hey Google, Where’s my car?”

That will save you few seconds and also make you feel like James Bond (kind of!). Well, if you were to buy one of those self-driving cars when they are available, you could simply say, “OK Google, bring my car” instead and the car will drive up to you. That’s like personal 24/7 valet parking!
